I think the most successful aspects of my role, was the ability to go around and hep whatever group needed it. I was busy enough to the point were i got all of my work done and also i was free enough times where if someone needed help i was right there ready to start to work on it. I think that i have worked with every single group in this entire project. Also i think that my being able to help people figure out what they are doing through the Google doc was another aspect of my role that was very helpful.

Going along with helping other groups i think that it was also one of the most challenging parts of my job. I was constantly asked to do things that differed from hour to hour. I needed to have a vast knowledge of the play to do this. I also needed to be able to be flexible in what i did, so that i could accommodate to all of the people asking me for help or suggestions. I might be doing sets for one moment then working with the playwrights for the next, then back to sets or maybe helping the actors do some games. I had to be very flexible for this to work.

I have no questions regarding the play.

I am thankful for the booming bike club that eric, jackson and i have started. I am thankful that this play is actually going to happen and is going to be good. I am also thankful that this semester is almost over. Lastly i am thankful that randy will put in my grade for the amecian icons reflection.

The Federal Theatre Project was a New Deal project made to fund theatre and other artistic performances during the great depression. The main goal of it was to give out of work artists, directors and playwrights work, the secondary goal was to promote relevant art and give poor families entertainment. The project was important because it was used to stimulate the economy, most theatrical professionals were out of work because of the depression and it as used to give them all jobs so they could be put back in the economic stream. Also it really helped rising theatrical professionals, many talented people were found during this project, it really helped stimulate not only the economy but also the artistic world. One reason the federal theatre project was controversial was because they were putting limits on what people could put in plays. One of the big ones is that no figure head could be slandered in a play. This was controversial because people thought it went against the freedom of speech. Also it was controversial because people thought that the money they were putting towards theatre could be better spent in other places since it was a depression.

Blog #20

I have been working with the playwrights and the documentations outside of my normal job. The helping with the playwrights has died down since the cold read has started but i have still been with the documentations with kick starter. I have been pushing them very hard to get the video done. I have been getting people to interview, and if they are leaving something important i fill in for them. In the beginning no one was going to do interviews with them but once i steeped in a was pushing people to go do the interviews. Now we are almost done with it and it should be finished by the end of this week.

Blog #19

This illustrates what i am going to be doing when the play goes into the final stages. I need to be there all the time making sure things are being done right and done well. I should be directing everyone when we get near the end and keeping everyone calm. I need to make sure that things don't fall apart so that our play can be as good as possible.

I also need to be making sure that these cold readings that we have can be as helpful as possible. I should be actively trying to make the cold reads a good use of time.

During the performance i will be making sure if something goes wrong it is put out as fast as possible. I need to keep the play going no matter what, doesn't matter if the set burns down, i need to put it out and keep the actors acting.
