I think what stand out most to me is the blatant disregard for safety in some of the factors back in these days. The owners of the factories completely disregarded the law and the safety of their staff.I think that the chicago journal had the best layout, it was just so put together and looked like something that i would want to read. It didn't look like it was just thrown together like some of them are. It looks very professional and looks like a real newspaper that could have actually been published.
This affects me because now i know how to look at different news articles to decide if i want to read them or not. I can decide between feature, editorial, or news and now i know where to look for what they are about and what they seem to be most like.
I have a very different outlook on the owners of the triangle factory. I can into it thinking that they were doing things that they had the right to do but it was still terrible. Now i can look upon it and realize that what they did was against the law and just out right terrible.
I am going to be much more careful when i edit all of my papers and articles now because i dont want a repeat of "builing".
